Life with 4

Life with 4

I love this picture. Each child is chilling out in front of a summer movie. Notice Wit took over the baby bouncer chair. Of course he hated it as a baby! Now it has become a 19 month's Lazy Boy. So life with four....oh my goodness! Crazy and fun all wrapped in one package. Drew was home for the 1st two weeks for a little honeymoon with Knox, and boy was it wonderful. We spent our days playing nonstop, and it allowed me to get a nap everyday! Knox is a great baby. He nurses well, sleeps well, and we are ... Read More...

Welcome to the world

Welcome to the world

Tuesday July 29th was terribly hot! I took Mia to swimming that morning and at 9:30am it was 93 degrees! Maybe it was the heat or the running around that day, but whatever it was my contractions started right when we sat down for dinner, and by 11pm I told Drew it's time to head to the hospital. Little Knox was about to make his debut into the world. Oh what a wonderful and peaceful debut it was too. Since my labor with Wit lasted 2 hours and 38 minutes, I was prepared for this one to just about the ... Read More...

The boy’s room

The boy’s room

Well the boys are going to share a room....18 months apart....this should be interesting. Knox will be in my room until he sleeps through the night which who knows could be a month (like Sadie) or a year (like Wit). Either way he will nap in his room, and we are set up for when they both sleep together.   I left the wall color alone since it works for now and I'm about to POP! I did paint over the green in the molding to match the red and navy theme. Here are a few before ... Read More...

Guest Bathroom Progress

Guest Bathroom Progress

This is for sure the most used bathroom in our house. It is right off the kitchen and someone is always in it! So I decided to add it to my TO DO LIST before baby :) Here is the before: And our progress: We took down the wallpaper, painted, and changed the mirror. I still need to change the light fixture, paint the cabinets, change the towel rack/toilet tissue holder, and my big TO DO is adding bead board and crown molding. ... Read More...

Sweet thing

Sweet thing

What is it with boys and their mamas? This boy is totally in love with his mama, and this mama is equally in love with him. Little does he know his world is about to drastically change. I pray everyday his transition into "big brotherhood" is a smooth one, however I realize at 18 months he will never remember NOT being a big brother. So it will probably be a few weeks (or months) of an adjustment for mama and her little boy, but we are ready and excited. My world for the past 18 months has all ... Read More...

Thoughts on motherhood

Thoughts on motherhood

It is days like today when I need my dairy free dark chocolate the most. Some red vino would be nice along with it, but that will have to wait another month. Oh motherhood. We all have those days don't we? Whether you are dealing with a stubborn toddler or a headstrong teen, sometimes you wonder if all you do really matters and makes a difference in their lives. "Hello did you hear what I just said???" In my case I have moody strong willed girls who love hard and fight hard, and a daredevil constantly ... Read More...
