great days

These are some great days. When our mornings are full of sister/brother snuggles (brother with a sock in the mouth and car in hand). And I am so thankful that I get to be the one that greets them every morning. I get to be the one to fix them breakfast, and chat about the day ahead. I get to send them off the school with kisses, and spend the rest of my morning hanging with my little man. I get to be the one to kiss their booboos, teach them new words, see all their firsts, and laugh along with ... Read More...

1 old lamp…..2 new ways

1 old lamp…..2 new ways

I am working fast and furious to finish the girl's rooms. I can't wait to show you! We basically dropped their furniture in their rooms when we moved in and that was it. They have waited patiently for me to finish a few projects, and now they are up! So this is an old lamp I had laying around, and instead of making a trip to Hobby Lobby I decided to be nice to my budget and DIY it. Here it is now for Mia's room..... The shade was from a broken lamp base I had in Wit's room. I added ribbon ... Read More...

A little spring cleaning before and after

A little spring cleaning before and after

Right before we put our house on the market our fridge died, and so we decided to splurge and get a french stainless steel amazing fridge. Then we sold the house, and of course the fridge went with it, and in our new house we were back to a side by side :( After 2 months of feeling totally unmotivated to organize it or get a gameplan, I had had enough. It was time to clean it out and get it organized. Here is what it looked like before AHHHH!   First I took everything out, and wiped it ... Read More...

Always glad I did

I timed it the other day, and it took me exactly 3 minutes to put my makeup on! So why I don't I do it everyday??? I don't know, but I tell you one thing, I'm always glad I did when I take those 3 minutes to do it, even if it is just to then put on my yoga pants and run after munchkins all day.   By the way, this is what 22.5 weeks looks like for me :) Happy Wednesday! ... Well folks its finished...for now :) You know how it is, there is always something. It's official my friends.....we ate TERRIBLE on our spring break beach trip, but boy oh boy did we have a great time doing it! So this week to get the family back on track and detox us from sugar and simple pancake style carbs we doing a lighter version of our weekly menu. This pretty much means we are using the grill a lot. I will marinate the meat starting in the morning so when Drew gets home it's ready to throw on the grill. For chicken I use olive oil, salt pepper, garlic salt, and Italian ... Read More...

Spring Break 2014

Spring Break 2014

Sometimes the best gifts come as surprises.....like planning a trip to the beach for spring break and it turns out to be too cold to put on a swim suit, but it turns out to be an amazing family vacation.
