Dinning Room Updates

Dinning Room Updates

Happy week of Christmas! I am READY! I did ALL my shopping online this year, and my gifts are wrapped and ready to go! However I'm soooooo ready to have my closet back, because of my tornado son Wit they live there until the big day. Here is a peak at the progress I've made in the dinning room :) BEFORE IN PROGRESS I redid the chairs in painter's drop cloth and painted a navy stripe on the back for a french grain sack look at 1/2 the price! I'm saving for a ... Read More...

Teaching gratefulness

Teaching gratefulness

After cleaning out the girl's room AGAIN, purging, organizing, and trying to figure out what in the heck to do with all this STUFF I find myself stressed! I am stressed out! I know we have too much, and too much always leads us to feelings of ungratefulness. Isn't that funny? The more you have the less you appreciate it? It is this way with me anyway. So before the avalanche of toys hit my home next week I am determined to giveaway, donate, and get a game plan together to live with less. How are you ... Read More...

My artwork

My artwork

Hello friends! My aunt in Atlanta has an amazing art collection, and I am sure she started early so in her fifties her home is magazine ready with originals..... literally! I on the other hand keep getting distracted with my "art money" and have not started a collection, but instead keep spending my money on professional photos of my family that leave little room for any other originals on our walls. Here are a few of my favorite shots from our Christmas family photo shoot this ... Read More...

November? What November?

November? What November?

Oh my goodness ya'll I missed you! November just came and went and I had a million blog posts running around in my head, and as fate would have it not one of them made it! I am sure you are feeling the crazy this time of year too, and I tell you I struggle everyday with forcing myself to take a DEEP BREATH, CHILL OUT, RELAX, and enjoy the moment. It is hard on those days when my house never gets picked up. It's hard on those days when I am running like a chicken with my head cut off from school events, to ... Read More...

I found these pictures at a garage sale one Saturday for $2 a piece and I LOVE them. They are water color paintings. The two girl's are so Mia and Sadie, and I picture Knox and Wit growing up to look something like the two boys. They live in the dinning room..... ... Read More...

Our fall front porch

Our fall front porch

I just love fall, and mums, and cooler weather. We are LIVING outside now that the temps are cooling off. Wit’s eczema can’t handle the hot humidity, so poor baby has been cooped up all summer. Strange to say I know, but I had no other choice. It was either that or bleeding and crying and more steroids. Now here we emerge from our hibernation ready for action this fall and winter. Guess I better get a good quality coat! Ooops I lost a mum already! Found the crows, pumpkins, hay, and ... Read More...

You know how it goes….

You know how it goes….

You know how it goes..... You have a to do list a mile long, but the kiddos get sick, and the baby wants to nurse ALL THE TIME, and you try and keep the sick kiddos away from the baby, but a certain 21 month old likes to steal the baby's paci when you aren't looking, put the paci in his germ infested mouth and then back in the babies mouth. So the baby gets a cold and you catch the cold from the baby or the 21 month old....who knows!!! Then the to do list is still sitting there from when you made it 2 ... Read More...

The Girl’s Bathroom

The Girl’s Bathroom

Now that Knox is almost 10 weeks, we are starting to fall into a good rhythm, and I am trying to squeeze in a few projects here and there through out the week. First up.... the girl's bathroom. I took these before photos early in my pregnancy with Knox. The bathroom is a "Jack and Jill." Here is Sadie's side. The middle - shared space..... And into Mia's side So far I have wallpaper down (I HATE WALLPAPER!!!!!!!), cabinets painted, mirrors down, and a whole lot more to ... Read More...
