Sweet things

Sweet things

It is those little things that make life that much sweeter, like when I catch Wit jumping along with Knox as Knox explores his jump-a-roo. Their eyes are locked on each other. Little brother admiring big brother, and big brother learning to love his little brother. Or when I drag myself up the stairs for the 1000th time at the end of the day to say goodnight to the girls, and I hear Mia reading to Sadie. I peak in and Sadie is listening intently laying on her tummy with her head propped on her hands. Or ... Read More...

Ready for some love

Ready for some love

Hello friends! We are super excited this Valentine's week. Sadie is turning 6 on Wednesday. 6! I am in disbelief. But, it is happening whether I like it or not. I remember being so excited 6 years ago that she might be born on Valentine's Day. She was so close! The 11th is the prefect day though. A great way to bring in the love this week by celebrating my sweet Sadie right before Valentine's Day.   ... Read More...

1st up in the laundry room...remove the doors to the cabinets and start painting! I am using this awesome new paint I found that is just like Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. LOVE IT! Here we are with 1 coat on the left and 2 coats on the right. It's probably going to take 3-4. And just for fun here is my old laundry room in our old house :)   ... Read More...

February goals

Hi friends! I am soooooo excited about this month of love! Sadie's birthday is next week, and I have a PJ and Pancake party planned! Next up on my To Do List is the laundry room. I shared with you last month I am dividing my house into a project per month for the entire year. This way I am focused, I finish a room, and I can manage my time better. When I walk past a future project, I can say to myself "Oh don't worry it will get done, that is June's project." It has really taken a lot of pressure of ... Read More...

A new room for the boys….moving upstairs

A new room for the boys….moving upstairs

We moved the boys upstairs right after Christmas. It's funny...all Mia wanted was a room of her own when we moved in, so the girls each had their own room upstairs, and Wit was downstairs in an office converted into a room. A few months later, Mia moved herself right on into her sister's room. So once Wit could go up and down the stairs by himself, I knew it was time to make the move the move upstairs for him. His room is now our family office - craft room - Knox's room. Until Knox is sleeping through the ... Read More...

6 months of yummy!!!

6 months of yummy!!!

Oh boy oh boy oh boy am I in LOVE with this little boy! He is the PERFECT finale to my baby making years :) He is 17 pounds of joy and sweet laughs. He loves being a baby, and he eats up all the attention his 3 siblings shower him with. After 4 kids I have learned that sometimes you can't fight the funk.....so when he grew out of his rock and play where he slept 9+ wonderful hours a night in, and I placed him in his beautiful brand new crib where he slept no more than 30 mins at a time in, I scooped up ... Flourless Pancakes….goodbye Bisquick!

We are working on eating healthier around here in this new year, and so that means finding another option for Bisquick pancakes on Saturday morning. These are YUMMY and work for a Paleo diet as well. For 3-4 pancakes..... Mix together 1 unripe banana 2 eggs 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract dash or two of cinnamon I used an electric blender to get the banana totally mashed. Throw them in a non stick pan and fry them up! Add your favorite fruit as a topping with raw honey instead of syrup ... Read More...
